Vietnam MemorialA busy weekend with a Blue Ridge and several other Honor Flights

There is an app for the 55,000 names on the Vietnam Memorial which allows you to look up the location of names on the Wall.   I assume there will be an app for the 80,000 names on the Korea Memorial.  Some of the hubs like Central Missouri do etchings as requested by folks at home who couldn't make the trip and have made up custom paper with their imprint.  The etchings look spetacular and I devoted a separate post to the process. Michelle Sprye of Missouri wrote up a piece on producing these etchings which I posted earlier  

The Korea Memorial is supposed to be finished in July and while there, I photographed a few Missouri vets. You can see the construction behind them with composite posters of   the finished project.

You've heard DC  referred to as the swamp and so it really is and all of our monuments and memorials are sinking!  Hence the difficulty of doing a book on a group of buildings that seem to be in an endless rotation of construction.
