It's been a busy year. I have sent out 8000 books, reopened accounts with retailers around the Mall (ie: White House Gifts, Guest Services which operates the kiosks North and South of Lincoln, Eastern National which operates FDR, Lincoln, and Eisenhower and just yesterday the National Archives. They all have great stores dedicated to the Mall and American history! And it's nice to see the Mall hopping! I was down at the newly finished Korea Memorial last night and it was filled with visitors.
I will be re-ordering so please make your wishes known regarding discounts for quantity buys. At the moment, it's fair to say that this is the definitive book and I am happy and proud to have developed this collection over the past twenty years (some of the Georgetown pics go back to 1976) and been able to get the short run printing and new photographs included as the Mall changed. A veteran from Oregon called me yesterday and complimented me on the book. That in itself was delightful. He told me that the book covered all the things and places he had gone to on his Honor Flight and he was buying a copy for his son who was his guardian. It doesn't get much better than that!
These books are all approved by the National Park Service and are both elegant and accurate as well as beautiful. They are one of kind creations which have made visitors and residents proud "Insiders." The postcard books have been a successful and limited only by my time advertising and distributing them.
